Greyhound Adoption Myths	ADOPT A GREYHOUND NOW!

The Greyhound Racing Association of America is a non-profit membership organization founded to promote, protect and enhance the sport of greyhound racing and the greyhound industry through education, example and media for the benefit of its members, fans, supporters and the greyhound racing dogs that make this great sport possible. 

The welfare of our retired racing greyhounds is of utmost concern to our Association. For that reason, we have created the GRA/AMERICA Approved Adoption Group Program (AAGP).

 We highly recommend our owners/trainers to become aware of which adoption groups they are doing business with, and to become more familiar with the GRA/America Adoption Directory. GRA/A supports pro-racing and neutral adoption groups in this country, but we do not limit our owners and members choices.  As an Association, we feel that if our dogs find good homes -- and the adoption group and greyhound owners have developed a good working relationship--the directory and Adoption Program has served its purpose. 

To further aide our members, the AAGP program will register and recognize several pro-racing and racing-neutral adoption groups that have been approved by our Board of Advisors.
